• Position: New Business Development Manager – Data
  • Location: Milton Keynes
  • Days: Monday to Friday, except Public Holidays
  • Hours: 09:00 – 17:30hrs
  • Vacation: 22 days in addition to Public Holidays
  • Basic Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience
  • OTE: £85,000 (unlimited)

Puffin Solutions Ltd is looking for a motivated, experienced sales professional to expand business sales by adding to the existing Customer database and identifying new, profitable market sectors. The position will be based from the head office in Milton Keynes.

The role will focus on new business sales in the data and networking market. Once the first sale has been made, the successful individual will be expected to continue to manage the account to develop further business within that account.

In order to achieve these new business sales, the New Business Development Manager will need to:

  • compile a list of potential accounts,
  • identify and arrange meetings with key contacts in potential accounts,
  • record notes of all contacts and meetings,
  • develop solutions relevant to the account post meetings,
  • prepare and give presentations to sell the relevant solutions,
  • put together proposals to confirm the pricing of solutions,
  • use the internal pricing tool to arrive at a sell cost,
  • chase the accounts to close the proposals,
  • brief the operations team on the Clients expectations for delivery,
  • follow up each sale for feedback and new opportunities.

The successful candidate must have the following:

  • at least 3 years experience of working within the network/cabling industry,
  • a clear understanding of network/cabling products and services,
  • ability to work independently with differing levels of decision makers,
  • good verbal and written communication skills,
  • proven track record of successful solution sales within the industry,
  • ability to prepare and deliver presentations at all levels of business,
  • good working experience of using software packages that include Word Processing, Spread Sheets, Presentations and Email,
  • happy to travel both within the UK and potentially overseas,
  • a valid UK driving licence,
  • the ability to work within the UK without the need for visa either now or in the future.
